1. REPAIR / RETURN

Whatever model of control module you have, it can be sent to our lab for assessment and repair. Your repaired control module will be returned to you by express service. Depending what make and model of control module you have, fixed price repair is usually available.

  • We repair the control module and return to you using express freight.
  

2. EXCHANGE

If you have an established credit card account we can often provide exchange modules (subject to availability). It's our fastest, most convenient service and can be completed by either faxing or emailing your order to us or even over the phone. We'll express you a fully re-conditioned control module the very same day.

  • Send us your order or call for availability.
  • We express freight your replacement module together with a return freight satchel.
  • Simply pack the defective unit in the return freight satchel provided and call our national pick up number.
  

3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By using the services provided by Module Repair Service P/L the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following conditions.

  • Warranty - Unless specified all repairs are covered by a 12 month warranty. This warranty does not cover failure due to incorrect operation, maintenance or installation. Credits for warranty will be raised only after we've inspected the part and determined it is warrantable. Credits for warranty are applied to accounts as soon as possible after receipt and analysis and will always be processed before the end of the month in which they're received.
  • Exchange Parts
    • Exchange parts must be returned by the due date specified. If you've provided an email address we will send you reminders showing which parts are overdue. Parts remaining overdue for more than 45 days will be invoiced and charged to your account. Credits will then be raised when the parts are returned.
    • Exchange parts must be like for like. In most cases we cannot accept return of one part for another. If an incorrect part is returned we will advise you and the original exchange part will remain as outstanding.
  • Payments
    • Credit Card - Establishment of credit card accounts can generally be completed the same business day using your VISA or MASTERCARD. Payments are generally processed against credit card accounts weekly, and invoices issued accordingly. We currently do not charge any credit card surcharge. Your credit card will be debited in the name of "MODULE REPAIR SERVICE". Your credit card provider may offer reward points and other incentive programs. Credit card charges that are declined will result in suspension of account facilities and an administration fee being applied.     • COD - Payments can be made by credit card or direct bank credit. If you're paying by direct bank credit please send us an advice of such payments so we can return your goods as soon as possible.
    • Cheque - Cheques are only accepted from customers with an established trading history. All bank charges for dishonoured cheques are the responsibility of the issuer and MODULE REPAIR SERVICE P/L may also apply an administration fee.
    • Credit Terms - In order to reduce our administration costs, MODULE REPAIR SERVICE P/L do not normally offer credit accounts. For customers with existing credit accounts our trading terms are strictly 30 days. Accounts remaining unpaid after 60 days will result in immediate suspension of credit facilities and the account will be referred for collection.
  • Returns - All repaired goods are shipped in sealed packaging. Breaking the seal or opening the packaging constitutes the part has been used and will be subject to inspection, testing and repair charges if the part is returned. These charges may vary from time to time so please check with us before returning parts.
  • Uncollected Goods - Repaired goods that remain uncollected for more than 45 days will be charged to your credit card (card account customers) or disposed of to recover costs (COD customers). A courtesy note will be sent prior to these charges or disposal being carried out. No liability is accepted for goods remaining uncollected unless they have been fully paid for and are waiting collection.
  • Minimum Testing Charge - All goods are subject to a minimum testing charge irrespective if testing proves there are no faults evident. Minimum charges depend on the product type and time involved in establishing testing procedures. Due to the intermittent nature of some faults we can only state the operating condition at the time we examine your module. No further guarantee or warranty applies for modules that are only tested.
  • Technical Advice - We're always willing to try to assist our professional trade customers diagnose difficult problems. This assistance is given as supplementary support and general advice only to qualified personnel. Electronic modules should only be fitted by experienced and qualified persons. Incorrect connection or operation could cause damage to property and/or severe personal injury including death. At no time does MODULE REPAIR SERVICE P/L offer any technical advice contrary to what is industry standard practice or the recommendations of the original equipment manufacturer. At no time do we endorse or recommend bypassing any safety systems even for the purpose of testing. If you're unsure of your equipment we highly recommend contacting a suitably qualified trade person to assist.
    

4. PRIVACY POLICY

MODULE REPAIR SERVICE P/L is committed to client service and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

Our privacy policy governs the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

A copy of the National Privacy Principles may be obtained from the website of The Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.gov.au.

What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual.

Examples of Personal Information we collect include: names, addresses, email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers. This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including interviews, correspondence, by telephone and facsimile, by email, via our website www.modulerepair.com.au and from third parties. We don't use cookies. We don't guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, marketing and billing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time; all you need to do is let us know.

When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Sensitive Information
Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.

Sensitive information will be used by us only:

  • for the primary purpose for which it was obtained;
  • for a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose;
  • with your consent; or where required or authorised by law.

Third Parties
Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by such third party.

Disclosure of Personal Information
Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:

  • third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
  • where required or authorised by law.

Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

Access to your Personal Information
You have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please make out your request to us in writing.

Module Repair Service P/L will not charge any fee for your access request or for providing a copy of your Personal Information.

In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing such information.

Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information
It is an important part of providing our services to you that your Personal Information is up to date. We take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

It is important that you advise us at the earliest opportunity of any changes to your Personal Information so that our records can be updated.
